Karen Hanson, NP, APN
Karen Hanson is a Nurse Practitioner (NP), with a Board Certification in Women’s Health and a certificate in Holistic Health. Karen has worked with women and their families in the role of a healthcare provider for over 15 years. As an NP Karen can provide primary and specialty healthcare to her patients, ordering labs and tests as needed and prescribing medication if indicated. Karen specializes in helping her patients achieve their desired level of health thru appropriate assessment and testing, education on diet and lifestyle and incorporating nutritional and vitamin supplements. Areas of specialty include, general healthy lifestyle, perimenopause/menopause, bio-identical hormone therapy, thyroid disorders, fatigue, adrenal fatigue, weight management, sleep issues and sexual health.
Karen has a passion for living well. She grew up in a family that used herbal medicine, vitamins and supplements. Karen developed a passion for women’s health after watching her mother suffer after a hysterectomy in her 30s and not be offered hormonal support. In her practice she follows the philosophy that, by incorporating a blend of traditional healthcare and the integrative practice of holistic health, true quality of life can be reached.
